• Most memorable golf moment:
“When I came from five down off the front nine with the five-time Washington State Amateur Champion to win the match and tournament. I played the back nine 3-under par to go to the nineteenth hole.”

• How she got started in golf:

“I was always a strong athlete when I was young. I was an MVP in soccer, skied as much as possible, and was a pretty good swimmer. One day, my dad suggested I tryout for the golf team, and I really liked the subtlety, quietness and solitude of the game. It also didn’t hurt that the University of Washington Men’s Team used to practice at my home course.”

• Funniest thing that ever happened on the golf course:
"I was hitting out of a bunker and I heard a loud noise as if someone was hitting into us. I looked back and nobody was there. I turned back to hit my shot and there was a fish right by my ball. A bird dropped a fish when it flew over the bunker."

• What was most memorable about your
trip to Japan:

"It was such a different place than Seattle or Los Angeles. It was really peaceful, yet so bustling. It was so modern, but also had so much history. As for the tournament, I played really well, and it was my first taste of success as a college golfer proving myself against qualified competition."
